Botanicals
If you know any botanical painters, you will find that we fall in love with every subject we paint. It is critical that living plant and flower subjects be observed because only they can reveal in amazing detail how they are constructed and reproduce. It’s not uncommon to be awestruck by their individual properties, let alone the amazing range of colors and shapes. I never feel like I can nail the perfection of each plant I paint, but it is fun to try.
